WE NEED YOU
Appetite Five Dock is an experienced barista to join the team. This role is ideal for someone looking to advance their hospitality career with one of the busiest cafes in Five Dock.
We are looking for a focused and friendly person to join our team and help deliver the following key points:

A passion for coffee with a strong understanding of volumetrics, grinder adjustments and coffee equipment cleaning and maintenance.

A drive and willingness to take ownership of the bar including making all drinks on the menu and running their own coffees when the rest of the team is busy.

An eye for detail and quality you will be required to work both independently and with another barista.

Loves looking after customers and delivering every little detail of customer service.

A team player who supports the sequence of service/waiters by taking orders, running drinks and food and clearing tables when required

Strong communication on the floor with other front of house staff and sections
-
Must be extremely focused with experience and energy to run a tight little section to perfection.

Able to work along side and under the direction of management.
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

Minimum 1 year solid barista experience

Saturday availability is essential

Enthusiasm for developing your professional skills

Free pour latte art.
We are offering part-time and casual positions (30 - 35 hours per week). Due to the nature of this industry and our strong focus on team building, we preference long term candidates. More hours and shifts can be provided for the right candidate. We are open Monday to Sunday from 6am until 4pm. We offer ongoing support, training and development and staff meals.
About you:

5. Fluent in English – speaking & writing
6. Ability to follow direction and instruction
7. Positive attitude, a desire to learn, and the motivation to match
8. Ability to maintain product presentation with a fine eye for detail
9. Clean - Strong awareness of Hygiene & Food Safety Standards
